Yesterday evening Microsoft announced that the Hololens will be available for sale in the UK with deliveries starting towards the end of November.

The price, given the current weak pound is slightly better than was first thought and whilst the price is in excess of £2,700 it is possible for VAT registered Companies to claim back the vat. 

Given the high price of the Hololens compared to Google Glass it is unlikely to reach the mass market for a considerable period of time. However, it is still possible to rent the Hololens. There are several Companies that are offering the Hololens for hire.
